The Kalihani Pass trek divulges the hidden pastures within the Himachal Himalayan region and further it takes you to the upper Pir Panjal range that gives you excellent view of the peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Indrasan, Deo Tibba and several others. During the peak trekking season that stretches from May to September, the trail is further occupied with several patches of flowering plants and thus catching the attention of nature lovers. The Kalihani Pass trek, which is one of the moderate treks in Himachal Pradesh, commences from Manali, which is at an elevation of 2,050m. The enticing vistas and unending thrills along trekking trails of the Kalihani Pass lures hundreds of trekkers from different corners of the country who come here to explore the hidden charms of this fascinating expedition. The trek is also a heaven for wildlife enthusiasts and bird lovers who get ample opportunities to have a glimpse of countless Himalayan birds and animals ranging from brown bears, musk deer, snow cocks to a variety of pheasants. Winding your ways through a series of gradual ascents and descents, when you reach the Kalihani Pass, magnificent vistas of Pir-Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges and hanging glaciers greet you with smile; spend some time here basking in the beauty of nature and its work of art.

  • Itinerary

    Day 1: Delhi to Manali.

    Report our Outdoor Expert at Bus Pickup Point and proceed to Manali. Have dinner enroute. Overnight Bus journey. 


    Day 2: Reach Manali. Free Day

    Arrive at Manali in the morning and transfer to the campsite. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains surrounding. Head out for a short acclimatization walk in the Afternoon post lunch, during acclimatization you will visit Jogani falls, Hidimba Devi Temple, Vashisht which is famous for its hot water spring and Manali market. Overnight stay in Manali.

    Day 3: Manali to Lama Dugh (6725 ft to 9896 ft) (4 hrs).

    The climb is through thick forests but there is no water point after departing from Manali. As we gain height in this steep climb, the distinct views of different faces of Indrasan, Deo Tibba and peaks of Bara Shigri glacier open up. In the last lag, the path turns to the right and one traverses the ridge horizontally and enters the campsite on an alpine plateau studded with thick growth of alpine flowers. We Pitch our camp here. Overnight at Lama Dugh.

    Day 4: Lama Dugh - Riyali Thach (9896 ft to 11152 ft) (3 hrs)

    After having healthy breakfast, we depart from Lama Dugh and proceed to our next destination Riyali Thach, which will be a journey of approx 3 hours. Today, the trek will pass through vertical ridge located below Khand Pari Tibba (4000 Meters). From this location, you get the opportunity to see and capture an awe-inspiring view of Manali, situated on the left side bank of Beas River and the entire upper Kullu valley that appears spectacular from the location and is a visual delight for the trekkers. We stay in the camps set up in Riyali Thach upon arrival. Overnight at Riyali Thach.

    Day 5: Riyali Thach - Kalihani Pass Base - LamaDugh (13150 ft) (8 hrs)

    On this day, we will move ahead post breakfast to the Base of Kalihani Pass, located at an altitude of 4010 meters. Initially, the trail will progress over the open meadows and then later it will be followed by a precipitous descent towards a stream. After we cross the stream, the trail continues in a precipitous ascend for about 3 hours until we reach the base of the Kalihani Pass. This is the campsite for Kalihani Pass. From the campsite location you can glimpse and capture the fabulous views of the Indrasan peaks and the Deo Tibba in your camera. We will enjoy the amazing mountain range from here and Kalihani peak. After, spending time & with the amazing view we start to descend to Lamadugh, which is our campsite for the day. Arrive at Lamadugh by evening. Overnight at Lamadugh.

    Day 6: Lama Dugh - Manali (3 hrs) Board bus to Delhi

    In the morning after having healthy breakfast, we will depart from Lamadugh and proceed to our Base Camp Manali, We reach Manali after a journey of approx 3 hours. We have Free Time in the Evening to explore Manali market. In the evening board the bus to Delhi. Overnight bus journey.

    Day 7: Reach Delhi. Trek Concludes
